The GNCTR Experience
Why you should join!

How do I join?
Join our mailing list to find out about events, meetings and how you can get involved with the team. Updates on events and meetings will also be provided on this website.

What kind of time commitment is GNCTR?
The level of time you want to put into the team is up to you. Show up to events you are interested in.

How many people go to competition?
The U of A competing team consists of 30 members. Each year we try to send a non competing team to competion in addition to our competing team. The non competing team gets to do everything the same as competing. In previous years we have had a non competing team consisting of 10-30 members.

Who is on the competing team?
Our team uses a points system. Each hour you spend at an event or helping the team will be worth a point. There are usually a few events per week. Join our mailing list to get up dates, check out our facebook page or follow us on twitter!

What kind of events do you hold?
Concrete pours are held almost weekly and other events include team building activites such as frisbee, costume builds, technical display builds and sled builds.

Great People
The members of GNCTR are always welcome to newcomers. The team is a great way to network to find out about classes, text books, professors and potential job openings. You also have the opportunity to network with other students from across Canada.

Social Events
We often have a couple events each week and it's a great way to take a break from studying and have a good time getting to know your teammates.

Ride A Concrete Toboggan
If that's not an item on your bucket list we think it should be! GNCTR is a unique competition and a great experience. You get to choose your own time commitment so it's an easy club to get involved in.
